Founders DKML

Founders DKML is a 14.2 ABV Malt Liquor and pours orange amber.  The nose is all malt leading into the palate, a big boozy malt bomb with notes of vanilla and oak from the barrel aging.  Mouthfeel is moderate and pretty drinkable for the ABV which is very present but not at all in a raw unpleasing way.  It’s a novelty but Founders executed this as deftly as could be expected.  Definitely worth trying.

Collective Arts Radio The Mothership

Collective Arts Radio The Mothership is an 8.5 ABV ADIIPA and pours orange amber.  The nose is sweet malt and pine, oniony hop, which leads into the palate, overall balance is a bit hop forward.  Mouthfeel, texture and carbonation are all moderate and within the style.  Nothing exceptional here but it’s the best Collective Arts I’ve had.

Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing

Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing is a 6.7 ABV, 40 IBU AIPA and uses Citra, Comet, Simcoe, El Dorado, Mosaic, and Magnum hops.  Appearance is hazy and the nose citrus hop.  Flavor is sweet malt forward with various citrus hop notes.  Mouthfeel is moderate and creamy.  Nothing here is outstanding and it’s not quite a NE farmhouse style if that’s the intent.  However, it’s still quite good.
